Do you really know where the tears come from?
Photo souce: a thieft we caught last night
Tears come from 'tear ducts and glands ( lachrymal ducts and glands ).
Each tear gland is almond-shape, set in a sideways position just below the arch of the eyebrow.
Tear drops are mainly saline ( sodium chloride ).
They carry out the important task of keepi g the eyeball clean and moist, as well as protecting the eyelashes from dust and dirt particles.
When do our eyes stop growing???
The internal membrane of the eye called the retina, is developing up to two years of age, whilst the others parts of the eye continue to grow until the age of six years.
The eye stops growing completely with the beginning of puberty - in males, between 13-15 years old. And in females between 12-14 years old.
