I'd like to share with you my youth orchestra (The Siam Sinfonietta) performing the entire Symphony No. 9 by Mahler.

You know, Somtow, I already said this youth orchestra is world-class.
I meant it- the most egregious errors I could detect in embouchure, timing,
note value, etc. (and some or most of them may be due to connection and hardware issues at my end, or I'm not reading YOUR notes on your score, so I'm not in on everything) aren't much worse than what I often hear from major orchestras, and NO worse than most of the lesser orchestras I've heard recorded.
That ending 4 or 5 minutes of the 1st movement is simply LOVELY!

Thanks so much for your comment. Now to try to correct the category....

Now after interruptions, I get to pick it up at the 2nd movement.

Hi @somtow, this is a fantastic performance by a youth orchestra. Thank you for posting it. I enjoyed listening to it at my desk while I was working the other day.

We have shared your article on the Steemit's Best Classical Music Facebook page, and included it in our latest post, Steemit's Best Classical Music Roundup [Issue #8].

Hi! I appreciate your comments. We seem to be far from the centers of "western music" but these kids are very passionate and excited about this music. The kids have played Mahler in Berlin, Munich, Vienna and all sorts of "centers" and they've developed a real following. Thanks for letting more people know about the Siam Sinfonietta.
