steemitresolution 2018 : My elevator pitch for a better sleep 2018 and more time to connect

This is my blog post for the 2018 steemitresolution Challenge by @thatsweeneyguy.

My 2018 targets for Steemit

To be honest, I am a shrink, working in Germany. Psychiatrists and psychotherapists don't have the best reputation. And I think it's our own fault. Together with a friend (Johannes Drischel) I would like to introduce the power of imagination for the handling and processing of problems. Combining a kind of vivid images and EMDR-techniques.

I will start to blog En / De in 2018 about this topic.

We need more and better sleep to have more time on steemit. So here is my advice for 2018.

Describe your problems without words and your brain begins to understand you

We try to combine the power of imagination through inner images and the neuropsychological insights from dream sleep.

My elevator pitch on that:
Consider your brain to be a big swimming pool. During the day, all kinds of experiences like leaves or garbage come in. At night, a kind of cleaning robot - our dream sleep - would have to clean up there. This is done via the so-called REM sleep = Rapid eye movements

I will show you how do clean the pool and get a better sleep.

If this works well we wake up the next day fresh and refreshed. If not, you end up with me or other psychiatrists because of burnout or depression and exhaustion syndromes.

My Steemit Blog tries to show new ways to solve an old problem. I blog about ADHD, sleep disorders, positive thinking and other ways to be more self effective. Very different than usual.

Steemit is a great option to go new ways. Meet new people. And making impossible things possible.

I would love to connect to more people in the US and everywhere ! Steem on

It will be my first year on steemit. So not much to change right now. But a lot to learn !

I a dreaming of a different kind of psychiatry and psychotherapy starting 2018. Happy new year.

Great resolution! I look forward to your posts about ADHD, and depression, as someone who has struggled with both practically my entire life

I will do my best. I have a positive look on adhd , but struggle myself... Anyway. To understand the neuropsychological aspects and the way the adhd brain works helps a lot.
