2. One of the earliest entries for this week, Jeff's sandwich.....no Jeff's Manwich immediately looked like it could be a winner to me. The glamour shot was worth a thousand words lol. It captured the sandwich real good (all be it a bit out of focus) and he presented his entry well with step by step photos and ingredients.

3. Lemongrass Ginger sausages from the butcher..Sounds delicious to me and I appreciated how he cut them up and injected them into his manwich. The bun choice here was key. You need the right container for something like this

4. So many onions....I love it haha. And the horseradish mayo should have paired well with the sausage flavours!

5. All in all I really enjoyed the enthusiasm of this entry. I feel like this is also the kind of Sandwich I would make!

1. This was a fantastic week and I had a hard time to pick my winner. After given it a loooooot of thought, I have to go with atmemestable 's All-Jacked Up sandwich. Growing up in Asia, we travelled to Thailand a lot and I remember the jackfruit chips, jackfruit desserts and jackfruit salad I would had as snack. My sister and I used to make fun of how the actual jackfruit looks too. This burger reminded me of all the good times I had while vacationing in Thailand as a teenager. I also tasted this burger at a vegan restaurant in Toronto. i think jackfruit and heart of palm are great ingredients used by vegan restaurant to create burgers with texture like meat - pulled jackfruit's texture similar to pulled pork and heart of palm texture similar to crab (btw, Planta in Toronto makes the best 'crab' burger using heart of palm). Therefore, I am so happy that atmemestable introduced this burger to this contest! She is my #1 choice.

1. 3rd place was a huge 3way tie this week and I had to pick just one (these are the decisions that keep me up all night).

2. This is probably the longest sandwich entry in SSC history and I was just floored when I was reviewing it for the first time. Epic.... step by step formation of this gigantic beast of a manwich.

3. Not only was it long , it was action packed with tons of awesome ingredients. Mihail typically includes a neat cultural aspect to each entry and the "Fillet "Elena" this is the dark meat it is dried pork and a packed with herbs. It is very delicious specialty" was quite interesting for me.

4. The fact that Mihail managed to put that whole thing in the oven (love oven toasted sandwiches btw!) is a feat of its own and worthy of recognition lol.

5. all in all a solid entry (how many times have you won 3rd place? 3 out of 4 weeks so far haha?

• All I have to say is the usual "bravo to all the contestants this week."

Featured Entries:

@kanoe - Created yet another master piece. This one was also a contender for 2nd prize this week. This is what @steemit-foodie has to say: My second choice would be Kanoe's meatball sandwich - My husband loves meatballs and i always make meatballs from scratch at home. Yes, it's a lot of work, but it's better than buying pre-made one else where because I know exactly what I put into the meatball. I like that this sandwich is simple and down to earth. Man, home-made / home cooking is the best for your family!

@marzi - Had an another interesting combo this week. Choosing to create a vegan hamburger out of zucchini!
I have a feeling this participant will do well during are themed weeks in the new year!

@steemit-foodie - Had two pretty wonderful contributions this week! Using a "crepe" theme she really hit home with this particular one. An awesome set of ingredients and her patented master artisan style she never seizes to impress.

SELECTING WINNERS!

1. @jaybird: I select the winners based on a variety of parameters. Just do your thing and have fun with it. I'm considering many factors such as presentation, ingredients & originality, creativity, community opinion & artistic ability just to name a few. PLEASE make sure to follow the rules! They are easy to follow and help prevent the tragedy of Null entries!

2. There are now 3 prizes. Week 6 - onward First Prize = roughly 55% of the prize pool

3. Second Prize dubbed the "Veto Vote" = roughly 25% of the prize pool + the honour of selecting the following weeks second prize winner. This prize is ideally given to an entry that although it did not win the contest, showed distinction among all the other entries. This could be a feature such as it was the community favourite, it used the most bazaar ingredients, or, it was just the best looking sandwich etc. IMPORTANT! The "Veto Vote" holder may not vote on his or her own sandwich to be selected as the second prize. However, they are still eligible to win First Prize should they enter the contest that week.

4. Third Prize will be roughly 15% of the prize pool

• IMPORTANT! "Veto Vote" holders must always present their final selection to @jaybird in confidence and allow the news to be revealed in an officially "Who Won Steemit Sandwich Contest" blog post. Deviation from this method will result in a forfeit of the Veto Vote and thus, the selection will be consider null and a new winner will be chosen by @jaybird.
