MAMA : YOU ARE CELEBRATED WHILE ALIVE - DAY 4 OF 100 DAYS OF POETRY

This poem is dedicated to my mother who has been my strongest strength right from when we lost our father. So many people celebrate their mothers after they are gone. Today I celebrate you in life on this occasion of Mother's Day.

Mama
I have kissed the lips of drunkenness,
amidst the valley of broken dreams.
I have wined with the cup of madness,
and ambled the path of sorrow's whims.

Mama
of thousand princes, thousand thrones,
of thousand, thousand, thousand folds.
of thousand jewels, thousand golds,
my love for you is above them all.

Mama
I have swallowed the bitter pills of betrayals,
amidst the company of trusted friends.
I have sowed much yet harvest is dismal,
I am broken mama, this I must append.

Mama
of thousand laughter's, thousand joys,
of thousand joys hate can't annoy.
of thousand maidens, great and small,
my love for you is above them all.

Mama
The wealthy merchant you told me about,
who vowed to take care of me before you left for Mars,
is an asshole who glories in my misery with his clouts,
I am tired of this life, I am tired mama!

Mama
of thousand gifts, thousand piles,
of precious stones, silver mines.
of thousand mansions, thousand smiles,
my love for you is above them all.

Mama
Today, I write you this with the last drop of my blood,
For I have no more hope to hold unto no more.
Shed not those tears for me when i'm gone,
for I tried to live but the world was too cruel and sore.

Mama
