Case 1:

Julio is an 11-year-old boy who attends the psychological consultation, accompanied by his mother. School performance is very poor. Your behavior in school and within the family is not good. It alters the general order in class and sustains fights and severe arguments with his brothers.

The reason for the investigation is the repetition of thefts of money to relatives and friends of their parents. A week ago, Julio fell asleep in the house of a colleague, whose father has a factory. During dinner, the owner of the house told his wife that he had a large amount of money, to make a payment the next day. That night, when everyone was asleep, Julio got up and took the sum of money. Forced by the situation, the child had to deliver the money.

Until then, Julio's parents did not think his habit of taking money was important.

During the interview, the child was not very aware of his lack. He regretted having to deliver the money, and was upset with his partner's father because he called the family. Julio needed a prolonged treatment. His parents had no character to force the child to therapy.

Case 2:

Pedro is a teenager who stopped studying in the early years because, according to his parents, "it's no good, to study." Until the age of 15, his father kept him, and then got his first job. At school

You have to be very careful in school with the interpretation of inappropriate behaviors, since these are also transitory. If a student exhibits repeated and permanent inappropriate behaviors, parents should be advised to consult with the psychologist. He will have the responsibility to make the corresponding referral to other professionals, such as the psychiatrist, the neurologist, according to his evaluation..

Recommendation for teachers

If there is any doubt, consult the School Counseling Team.
