“Steemit Ultimate Challenge 8 Weeks – Week#3“

Hello dear friends

We are on Steemit for six months already, but since we never introduced ourselves, we found out that, maybe, it would be correct and polite to do it now within the competition created by @dobartim. We are not new in Steemit, but we made so small progress, but not losing hope for better.

We are happy couple living for 35 years together, and we have 3 grownup children. Our eldest daughter is a Master of Fine Arts, scenic designer. Our son is a graduated sculptor, but works in gaming industry 3D modeling and programming, and the youngest daughter works at the airport as a passengers agent.

They are all very fine young people, and make us so proud. But we would like them to be proud of us as well. When we retired, we decided to move to a country side and live in a beautiful and peaceful surrounding, leaving our kids more space in their lives. My husband was an ENG Cinematographer, and I was a Flight attendant for 30 years. We have been around the world having very busy lives, so it was high time for us to settle down.

We bought a small cottage with a large yard. But, all of a sudden we found ourselves having a lot of free time, not knowing how to spend it. We started gardening. We planted a lot of trees, bushes and beautiful flowers. Our wish was and still is, to make a wonderful place for our kids, when they come to visit us, to enjoy and relax from a busy city life. But during summer time we face some difficult periods, when we cannot water our garden properly due to water restrictions. So we dream of digging and building our own well. Since it is very expensive, it’s only a wish, for a time being.

So, let’s get back to Steemit. The idea to join it came from our son. We embraced the idea immediately, knowing that the best way of supporting someone financially is not giving him money, but giving him a tool for making money. But it’s not all about money. It turned out to be something more valuable and bigger. We found ourselves occupied with learning so many things about Steemit, and it’s not an easy job, especially for us not born in digital era. Many things we still don’t understand, but we’ll try to catch up.

It is very amusing, very often educational and above all connecting people. In some unusual way, sometimes happens that we feel connected with some strange people, with their lives, emotions and thoughts. And it’s a good feeling. Not that we are interested in other people’s lives but as putting some positive vibrations in our lives. Please, don’t take me wrong, but this way of communication seems to me very close to telepathy.
Steemit made us discover new fields of interests and desires.

We will continue nourishing and caring our garden, but we still have enough time to read many posts, to vote, post and comment other people’s work. Our new friends are sometimes so talented and it’s a pleasure spending time on Steemit.
We are looking forward to a day, when we can show our Millennial children, that we “ancient” Baby Boomers are still in a saddle and not giving it up, yet. We love their moto =Not possessing, but having access to everything=. It is the future, and it sounds brilliant.

Our goal now, is to promote Steemit to our relatives and old friends. Even though we are not yet successful in attracting so much attention, we will keep on convincing others in benefits of this platform. Older generations from our surrounding hardly accept and understand new age, particularly cryptocurrencies, but we will give our best, invest more effort to be able to show them from our example how it works. But first of all, we are so eager to succeed because of our beautiful children.
