Telecos in India to stop MNP from 2019

MNP knows as Mobile Number Portability is very good flexible option for Indian cellular customer. Customer can switch to any operator as per their choice with minimal charges of Rs 4. Earlier this charge was 19 rs but recently TRAI asked to reduce the cost to 4 Rs and this step has cost processing companies to loose margin.

There are two companies who process MNP requested in India for all telecom companies. One name is MNP Interconnection telecom solutions and another Siniverse technologies. They are facing huge loss due to reduction on MNP charges from 19 Rs to 4 Rs. As we all know that after JIO entry in market number of MNP increased by 4 times due to competitive price market. Older companies are trying all possible ways to retain their existing customers and made MNP processed simplified as well.
MNP Interconnection handles MNP in East and west region of India and they said that they will surrender license in 2019 and stop working for it. And in east and north side of india is being handled by Siniverse tech told TRAI that after MNP chargs reduction they are facing huge losses. Both of them had processed 37 crore MNP requests and even last month they handled 2 crore applications.

They approached court to look in to this matter and hearing is scheduled for 4th July 2018. Information case from the sources that they are unable to work in such situation and they are not even able to pay salary to their employees.
