Shootings did not occur when I was growing up....
When I was growing up there were tighter gun regulations.
In NY we used to have alot of gun deaths during the 70s and early 80s...
Then we clamped down on it... And our murder and violent crime rates dropped to a tiny fraction of what they were!

I do not support the so called "marches" by "kids" to take away 2nd Amendment rights --- That is what it is all about. Even though I respect their right to protest, I believe this is NOT a good cause. Keep the 2nd Amendment in Place, secure the schools with metal detectors, and expose these "grown ups" that are just using these kids for their socialist/communist efforts to take away law abiding citizen's rights to their guns.

Simply put the second amendment states:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
That means pure and simple...
If you belong to the state guard, police force or federal military or police.
You have the right to carry a weapon FOR THAT PURPOSE....
Look it up, every time a state has limited Gun safety or restrictions on owning guns by people with voting rights (such as someone under 21). The US Supreme Court has upheld the restriction.

Simply put being able to carry or own weapons in densely and non-densely populated areas leads to innocent peoples deaths alot of them.

Pretty sure "militia" did not only include government controlled military. You seem to be ignoring the reason the second amendment exists in the first place, because they believed that a well armed and organized populace could prevent the spread of potential tyranny.

And the Supreme court Justice Gorsuch just put in place in the supreme court by the Republicans agrees... He is a strict Constitutionalist!

You are ignoring the fact that the second amendment exists to give people the ability to resist the state. They obviously did not want only state organized groups to be armed. "Well regulated" means more than just sanctioned by the government.

What country you fro, my family lived in western Europe and I lost half my family tree before WW1 and then during WW2 when people whole believe in races took my family.
First it was thee Cossacks , then it was Facists....

3% own 50% of all the guns
The average amount of guns owned is 8.8 guns!
But 70% of gun owners own 1 GUN for protection.
that means that there are 3 people in 100 who own over 30 guns!
In every 100 people 40 percent are 18 and under are 70 or older
that means 3 adults in 60 or 1 in 20 adults owns 30 guns.
The level of crime and mentally violent outbreaks a year approximately 18,000 per 100,000 people a year subtract the same 40% and we are talking about 18k in 60k or 1 in 3 adults.
Either commit a crime or has a mental episode.
Now every crime is not violant and not every mental episode is not dangerous.....
So out of the 5 adults in 100 that own guns 30 guns, 1 or 2 are criminals or have mental problems!
Thats insanity.....And that's the math!

We had the same thing go on before Revolutionary War, Civil War, Abolitionists Movement, WW1 &WW2, Civil Writes in the 60s, and Vietnam.
