Muggle Picks Saturday Round 3

See round 1 for all the details on this project, why it exists, and the mind who gave me the idea to do it in the first place ^^

This is your only warning - this post contains pictures of animal bones, specifically chicken bones from one that was eaten and boiled for stock. If that kind of thing bothers you turn back now, I will not abide comments with a negative view towards that kind of thing. I respect some people are against eating animals or using bones or whatever, but those are not my views and I don't appreciate having them shoved at me. Comments in that regard will be flagged without warning.

For this week, my roommate chose....

Bay leaf, hawthorn berries, small and medium sea shells, plastic hearts, chicken bones, some gem chips and a pad of Halloween themed paper.

I added no additional ingredients as something jumped right to mind and I didn't feel the need to add anything else.

The final product;

A jar to destroy unrequited love. I think we've all been in that situation before where someone that we don't want to love us does, and even though we've said no they just won't take the hint and leave us alone. Usually in the creepy and stalker-y manner once they've been told no. So I designed this jar to make them get it through their thick skulls and stop their unwanted behavior.

• Hawthorn berries - said to have power with fertility rites and often associated in weddings, but just the opposite in this jar. Instead they serve to make the person in question want nothing to do with sex or love or weddings when it comes to thoughts of you.

• Sea shells - in many cultures shells are a form of currency, and thus have become associated with money and prosperity. Again the opposite for this jar, meant to destroy any income or potential prosperity of the person as long as they continue their unwanted behaviors towards you.

• Bay leaf - these are often used to bring wishes into reality, writing a wish upon them and burning it or putting it under a pillow to make it real. Once more the opposite is set for this jar, to destroy any wishes the person makes and twist them into their worst nightmares until they stop chasing you.

• Onyx shards - there were six kinds of shards in the gem chips, and I chose onyx specifically for its color and the fact that it's often used as a stone of protection, to protect you against anything this person might try.

• Chicken bones - bones have powerful symbolism in their own right, and are often tied to staffs or ritual robes for the sound they make when they clank together. That's what I was aiming for - the sound of bones clicking against one another to haunt this person until they leave you be.

• The paper - in that pad was a sheet that was meant to look like creepy, partially burnt and smudged sheet music. Thanks to about six years of choir and a free internet program I was able to translate and listen to it and it sounded creepy as all get out as well. Write the name of the person on this paper as many times as you can/want, then rip it into enough shreds to fit in the jar. That way the haunting melody will play in their head along with the sounds from above and haunt them.

Sealed off in black wax for some added protection and keeping away the nastiness, with the heart in the top covered in it as a symbolic gesture of keeping your own heart safe while smothering theirs in darkness. And a heart-shaped jar for the irony of it all.

And again, it all has the built in feature that as soon as this person leaves you alone anything they're experiencing that's caused by this jar will cease. Hopefully that will be enough to get it through their brains that you've said no, no means no, and they need to stop because what they are doing is wrong. Now it doesn't matter if this person is male or female or whatever gender, it doesn't matter if they're stalking you just because or if you had a relationship and cut it off and they won't stop - if it is a person and they are bothering you for any reason when you've made it clear they need to not do that, this jar is built to protect you.
