For this week, my roommate chose....
Rosemary, peppermint, rice, cotton balls, fake leaves and plastic gems (aka 'mermaid tears').
As soon as I saw the ingredients I knew something summer fun related was in order. So this jar was made with the intention of having all the fun in the summer months, and letting nothing (weather or circumstances or anything else) stop that fun!
From bottom to top the ingredients are;
Peppermint - Representing happiness and good luck
Rosemary - More happiness and good luck!
Rice - Used in spells to find treasure, perfect for summer hunting!
'Mermaid Tears' - These are just plastic gems, but they remind me of the mermaid tears from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. A nice compliment to the rest of the jar, since the tears are a treasure in themselves and lead to greater treasure down the road.
Fake Leaves - A hope for milder weather, so that the plants may be green instead of yellow and dry and dead. Milder weather is also good for the people, so not everyone has to suffer the insane temperatures they're not used to.
Cotton Balls - Fluffy white things, representing the clouds that bring rain and more mild weather for the summer. Also fluffy and good things in general, so that there can be more good to go around!
Sealed in blue wax for the water that is so important in the hot months with a bit of faux sea glass on top for the same, and because sea glass is a treasure in itself.
So there you go, a jar for finding treasures and mild weather this summer so that all the fun in the world can be had!
