In witchcraft, glamour related things are for looks. To look better in general, to present as the gender you wish, and even to hide yourself from unwanted eyes.
I have self-confidence issues stemming from a lot of things, so I made myself a glamour salt to charge things in to help keep up not just my self-confidence but also to help make people who might comment negatively on my appearance not notice me. It's also super easy to make!
Salt - A protective and purifying element, adding to the glamour while also removing/cleansing any negative energies.
Rose Petals - Commonly associated with beauty, since that's part of this particular glamour.
Cut up paper pieces - From paper with a pattern of beautiful amethyst crystals all over it
Basically I put my favorite necklace in this at night when I take it off to sleep so the pendant and chain can get a charge of glamour. It's designed to help me feel like I'm beautiful and keep people who might comments negatively on my appearance from noticing me.
I've had people point out things like my weight, say my hair style or glasses are unflattering to the shape of my face, tell me my large chest doesn't count because I'm fat, and that's just the nicer end of things and they're not doing it in the friendship/trying to warn me kind of way but in the cruel, they think I'm just downright ugly kind of way and feel the need to make that known for some reason.
But once I started using this and wearing my necklace every day those kinds of comments have mostly ceased. It's not perfect, but it's better than it was and that really helps me be more confident in myself as well.
The rose and paper an probably be replaced with other things depending on what you intend the glamour to be. I wouldn't recommend essential oils because getting the herbs wet might cause rot and exposure to any items you intend to wear might not be super great but more fragrant herbs like lavender would be okay ^^
