Witchcraft Wednesdays - Plastic Coins

So in my own craft I use some....unusual, I guess you could say, ingredients. Some are just things I can get my hands on through various circumstances and others are household items that I think many in the craft don't think to use but due to my time as a closeted witch I had to get a bit creative. And now I'd like to share these things with everyone :D

There is a lot of symbolism here, so let's break it down one piece at a time.

Even if they are plastic and contain no monetary value, they're still a representation of coin money so they're great for use in spells to attract money or other things of value.

These ones in particular are gold, another symbol of money. And they were bought as some St. Patrick's Day decorations so they have four leaf clovers on them and as an association of luck, making them great for luck spells.

If you've got some of these, look at what they're meant for. I have a few other types that were for Valentine's Day, Easter, and even Christmas which makes them great for spells about love, getting along at family gatherings, and charity respectively on my end but every person is going to have their own associations around those holidays as well.

So hopefully if you can pick up some cheap dollar store plastic coins you've got something you can work into spells :)

Are those plastic coins in the photo?

Yep, my St. P's Day stash :)

That's so cool hahaha I would not think that those are plastic. THanks for sharing

Do you think, you can bring luck or extra money by holding a plastic coin and saying some words? Did you experienced it already? Don't you think isn't cause of spell, but your decisions and work you did? I think spells are worthless unless you work hard and do everything to bring them to reality.

That's an opinion I encounter a lot, actually. But I think there's really no way to tell, honestly. I have known people who put up spells for getting a job, for example, and got hired to places they weren't applying for via someone they knew telling someone else they were job hunting (facts in place before the spell was cast) and that word leading to them getting hired. Did the spell have any say in it? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe that's how the spell manifested itself, the right person saying the right thing to someone else to get them hired. Or maybe it was just chance, and would have happened regardless of the spell or not.

I think, however, that it's best to keep an open mind. Instead of saying that spells will only work and are 'worthless' unless you work for them once they're cast keep an open mind that maybe, just maybe, sometimes they like to manifest even if you don't. If it's the placebo effect and casting a spell is making us work harder subconsciously because reasons then hey, it's still working. I don't tend to question it too much, and I don't take the attitude that you need to keep working once a spell is cast to bring it into reality. It certainly helps, and things may end up coming to you a lot faster or in bigger ways than imagined if you do work for them, but not doing so also isn't going to negate things entirely, I think.
