What if steem basket is the right basket?

Its quite a cold night here today, it rained for about five hours with high intensity non stop, the moon is not out, everywhere is just so damp, dark, cold and wet and that is exactly how I feel right now.

Growing up as a kid, there were a couple of proverbs, some types of statement that we must tie around our neck even if we were to be woken up suddenly from a deep sleep, we would still be able to recite it impeccably. We had such statements as "do not throw stones into the market, "do not put all your eggs in one basket", "make hay while the sunshine's", and lots more. However, tonight I will like to take a trip with you to a land called "do not put all your eggs into one basket".

It sounds pretty reasonable actually, it means one should not rely only and totally on one particular stream.
It brings to mind that diversification should be encouraged amongst ourselves. Which I'm totally okay with, but what I'm not cool with is the fact that putting all eggs in one basket is being thought of as a bad thing. What if that one basket is the right basket?

There are some heights in life we can only reach by focussing all our energy in that one direction. A phenomenon where all our hopes, desires, strength, wish, will power, determination,prayers, are all concentrated to one particular area of focus, there are bound to be results.

A good scenario of not putting all your eggs in one basket is like a situation where you want to save all your money, so its been advised to acquire some properties to tie the money down with, save some in the bank, or simply just split them in different banks, rather than putting all in one place. I have absolutely no objection to this way of living.

However there are times when we have to take risk of putting all in one basket sometimes. It takes a lot of courage to do so, but if by chance the gamble works out, then we might stand the chance of turning that one basket into 10. This is why people who have made/make it in business take risks.

Just like steem, a lot of us only have a tiny percentage of ourselves mining steem. A lot of us engage in steem with a mindset of only the now. Some people even openly claim to be here for a while, when everything is shiny and perfect to ride, but yet we are so quick to claim that steem changed our lives.

a bus driver encounters thousands of people everyday, but he can only remember those that impacted his life.

Steem is the currency of the future, and this is a chance at first seat.

We claim we do not want to put all our eggs in one basket so we would stand the chance to save ourselves from any great loss, in this case, faced by the company. What if that mindset was enough to build the barricade holding us back from our success?

What if this basket of steem is the right basket and the moment we decide to put in our all is the moment everything changes? What if we knew for sure that this basket of steem was all it took to have everything one desired and even more? Will we have a different approach of putting all in one basket when it comes to steem? Will we invest much more of ourselves in steem power and active community development?

The people who have made a mark on the sands of time are people who took risks and put all in one basket at some point of their life. The basket just happened to be the right one.

What if steem is the right basket, how much of ourselves are we putting in? Half? A little? All our eggs?

Steem is the only cryptocurrency of its type, a virtual hub of human interaction and mind engagements. Steem is a proactive chance generation tool for investors, for creatives, bloggers, authors, artists, for everybody, a chance to take control of our destiny, to do something, to live our dreams, to keep the steem fire burning.
