SteemKitchen Recipe Contest 8 (Week 6: Drinks/Cocktails) - Non-Alcoholic Pineapple Punch

This is one of our favorite punch recipes. We make this for celebrations or when we have friends come over. Sometimes I make this when we need something different than just cranberry juice. The best thing about this is there are only 5 ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

• 1 can (46 ounces) pineapple juice
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 packages (.23 ounces) Kool-Aid flavored drink mix
• 1 bottle (2 liters) ginger ale
• steaming hot water

METHOD

1. Gather all ingredients together.
2. In a gallon sized container, mix pineapple juice, sugar, and drink mix.
3. Fill pineapple juice can with hot water and add to mixture.
4. Stir to blend, then cover and freeze for at least 6-7 hours until mixture is slushy.
5. If punch will be made in a punchbowl, pour entire mixture into punchbowl and add entire bottle of ginger ale. If making smaller container (pictured), scoop 1/2 mixture into quart size pitcher, and add 1/2 bottle ginger ale.
