When @silverd510 comes up with ideas theyre usually pretty good, but when it comes to #tags, and more specifically tag posts, he's a genius. His latest post idea for the #steemsilvergold group is a "TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS" theme and involves picking 12 Precious Metal items you'd love to receive.

Here are the rules he made up for this little posting sequence:
Start off with the lowest dollar items, building up to the one thing that would truly blow you away if you got it as a gift.
The items have to be realistic!! No one is going to gift you an 1895CC Morgan silver dollar. Unless you are related to Bill Gates or any other billionaire.
The top item can not exceed a value of $2000
Day 8 - 2oz, 2018, figure 8, silver, antiqued coin:
Value - $150 (conservatively)
In the Chinese culture the number eight is considered extremely lucky as the Chinese word for ‘eight’ means good fortune or money. Also the dragon on the reverse is used as a divine mythical creature, a symbol of power, strength, wealth and good fortune, so when combined it gives you this amazing looking, "unique" coin.
Once again the Perth mint proves that it is at the forefront of modern coin designing. They always seem to come up with the best designs, and this is another example of how to DO IT RIGHT.... (royal mint; please take note)

While i think the piece is cool, it will not appreciate very if at all. With that kind of premium i expect a return on my investment.

One night maybe two or three months ago I was looking online at Macquarie Mint’s website (an Aussie Mint). They had the dragon and koi version of this bar. A lot cheaper than they are for sale here. I was thinking I would ship them to my in-laws and have them waiting for me in Australia. (Cause cheaper shipping as well.)
I had both the coins in my cart.... put in my credit card number.... then backed out at the last minute!!!! They were $133 USD each. But with shipping or tax or something the cost went to $198 each. For $133 each I would have 100% bought them both.
I wonder if they are still available.... 🤔

Got a large Asian community, public identification numbers like phone numbers, license plates, house addresses are coveted by Chinese immigrants. The number 4 is avoided. Stories go around about license plate/car insurance dealers are offered premiums for plates with triple 8s.
