So, We Begin

Gods just don't get it. They have forgotten what it is to be a mortal a long time ago.

So, when the Gods cursed him to wonder for all eternity, Lord Nenad thought he got a pretty sweet deal. Now that millenia had passed, he still thought so.

He sat next to the fire, while nearby Sleipnir, the eight-legged horse grazed peacefully. Lord Nenad had "borrowed" the horse a couple of centuries ago from Odin.

As he gazed at the crackling flames, he recalled the message he received last night from @sirknight. How like him to use the eye or Merlin to get in touch...

It seemed that somebody had found Excalibur, again... It seemed that every couple of centuries somebody finds the bloody thing, and then you have quests, honour and bravery all over the place. If nothing else, it should keep things interesting for a while. Besides, with all those heroes gathering in one place, somebody needed to keep an eye on them, and ensure they limited the damage they did to each other.

Gathering his bedroll, he called Sleipnir.

"It seems we have been invited to another quest, old hag"

The response was a derisive snort, whether at him or at the idea of quests, Lord Nenad did not know.

Don't think it's going to be that easy to just walk right in and claim Excalibur, There's a whole new breed of weirdo's, and a few series knights on this quest too.

I am casting my lot in with the weirding, as if that wasn't obvious. After all this is now, and weird is everything!

Love it Lord Nenad (the Eternal)

Lol!I ChooXena: Vegan Warrior Princess had the exact same thoughts regarding Excalibur.

strategic alliances and treachery agin the dark ones I advise

let their ale and hamburger be served in the same bowl

Love it!
