Mounting Sleipnir, Lord Nenad made sure that his sword and bow very stowed away, ready for travelling, before he galloped off.
As Sleipnir did not tire, they rode through the day, stopping when the Lord had tired, and made camp. There he turned his attention to sharpening his blade, and watching the skies.
Silhouetted against the full moon, he saw the unmistakable form of a dragon, leaving a trail of burning dragon poop, like the world’s smelliest firework. Some poor peasant underneath its path was going to have a most unpleasant surprise.
It seemed that Sir Scooterless had taken to the skies. The nomad considered sending him an arrow in greeting, but he decided that the knight would have enough problems when he got close to Baelgaer, for the only thing worse than the sea there were the winds in the high air around the place. (The legends tell of Icarus flying too close to the sun… They are wrong, he just tried to fly past the Baelgaer).
After a good rest beneath four of the sixteen moons, Nenad rose and mounted his steed. He rode the rest of the day, and at dusk, with the sun at his back, arrived at the edge of a cliff, with the sea beating against it.
The Nomad took some time to make sure that his sword and bow were well-wrapped to protect them from the salty air and the water.
He then leaped Sleipnir of the cliff, landing on top of the waves, Sleipnir’s hooves rising sparks off the water as he galloped atop the waves.
Crete was waiting.
Arrow as a greeting is a bit harsh doncha think unless it had a note tied to it saying hi XD
