I Finished on the 13th Place in the Yesterday’s Big Steem Monsters Tournament Sponsored by Mene

Yesterday was one of the most exciting Steem Monsters tournament. It was a tournament organized by Mene, @goldmatters. The prize pool was 50 STEEM for the top 10, and the winner gets a 100$ worth of gold by Mene. Mene is doing a great job here and being quite generous to the Steem Monsters players. With this kind of rewards, it was understandable that there will be a lot of players interested. More than 300 players participated in the tournament. This is probably the biggest number of players participating in a SM tournament.

Problems at the start

There was a problem when the tournament first started. It was canceled by mistake and a bad setup of tournament conditions. After some time, they regrouped, and the tournament started an hour later.

Novice league level caps for summoners

The tournament was a Novice league, that was nice, snice a lot of small players can participate and have a chance. Owning a legendary summoner is very much welcomed for this kind of tournaments😊. At least no need for a higher level of those.

Lucky number 13!

It was a bitter sweat feeling finishing at that place. It is a good ranking having in mind the number of players and the cards that I hold at the moment. I have only one legendary summoner. But I was so close entering the top 10 and winning 50 STEEM. If I had one more win, I would have a chance for entering in the top 10, and with two wins I was for sure in the top 8 and a guarantied reward.

I was beaten by @xawi in the round 5. She made it to the final. Congrats on her as well. I have learned some lessons from this one that is for sure.

Overall it was exciting times. I really enjoy playing. Thinking how to combine the cards and make a strategy for the next time. The game is showing to be the real thing. Since the tournaments started the value of the cards has increased, especially on the legendary ones. With more tournaments coming this can only go up. If even more valuable tournaments are introduced, the value of the cards will probably explode. I can imagen a million dollar tournament some time in the future. Maybe two years from now 😊.
