Steem Monsters Voice Audition

in steemmonsters •  7 years ago

Yo yo my Steemies, wattup?

Today I submitted an entry for a voice audition, for a Steem Monsters card character, by recording it and uploading it onto @dsound.

Here is my entry

If this sounds like something that you might be interested in, then I would encourage you to have a go, as I had an absolute blast doing it.

The @steemmonsters post explaining what you need to do is here.

The story that I chose to narrate for my audition was written by @road2nowhere and can be found here.

Steem Monsters is probably one of the most exciting developments to come out recently on the platform, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, then you should definitely check out there account, or join there discord room to see what all the hype is about.

Peace.

howdy there @bobaphet man..that recording is SO freaking good, I'm impressed and there is no one better to play a Twisted Jester than a twisted jester! did they make that card after you?
also, I have no idea how you do all that reading without making mistakes, did you memorize most of it first? great job sir!

Haha, thanks for your kind words of encouragement. I actually just read it aloud on the first read and recorded it. I was happy with the first take, so just went with it. I am an avid reader.
Peace.

Good luck on the voice over. Just saw you commented on my comedy open mic, took a quick cruise through your posts, whoa, you will likely hear from in the future, don't worry, I think in a good way. Thanks again, best of luck with shows, etc.--love the handle btw is that the Star Wars character?

It's a 3 way mix from said star wars character and my name, with a hip-hop flavour of ph instead of f :)
Thanks for your kind words of encouragement.
Peace.

howdy @bobaphet...no way! I mean that's just flat out gifted so I guess you're in the right place at the right time. dang good job.

Haha, thanks. I used to do public speaking as well (many years ago) for Truth movement Australia, so i'm used to just letting fly with the verbal diarrhoea on the fly ;)
Peace.

ah ah! so you're a professional! no wonder you made it look, or sound, so easy. great job!

Nice one Bob,I have not come on steemit cos I get tired of it, it hard to get upvote, but am back now, Keep the good work.

Hi @abayomi1, don't give up hope. This is a long haul.
I would recommend posting about subjects that you are passionate about, so that it is not work, but fun.
Also join some discord groups based around your personal interests and hobbies so that you can meet other likeminded people and network with them.
Another thing I do is checkout new posts by the tags of subjects that I am interested in and write meaningful comments on them, sharing my own experiences on the subjects (and if it's about things you like, then again, it's not work, it's fun). If you do this, then some of these people will in turn, check out your posts and comment on them. This is how you grow your followship :)
Peace.

Yes, I listened to it. Very convincing.

I am the Twisted Jester, so it wasn't really acting :P
Peace.

Yo Yo Bobaphet! What is this Steem Monsters? Interesting. How do I patent my own Rainbow Man Steem Monster card LOL? Adding it to the deck?

great idea Rainbow Man!

I'd recommend joining their discord group and doing some networking in there.
Peace.

The discord invite didn't work. I tried joining.

This post has the discord link right at the bottom of it, try it direct from the blog :)
