I just wanted to say that I'm running a (bad) pathfinder (basically d&d) adventure tomorrow, and some of the people/monsters are based off of steem monsters. For example, the leader of the castle guard is the Defender of Truth, who swore his army to protect "the prophesy" (that the villagers would get their kingdom).
It's a short adventure, where you start in a cave (dungeon), and have to work your way out through different means. You can also find a wizard (inspired by Zintar), who asks you to kill another guy, who could also become your friend and ally. The wizard captured the other guy(the King)'s wife, and the king wants to fight him to get her back. If you kill the wizard, the queen makes the king turn on you and attack.
There is also the chief of the villagers who can help you, or be your target if you follow the wizard. In the end, you have to get (or help someone else get) control of the kingdom, and army/guard(inspired by the silvershield army) from the other people. If you control the kingdom, the advisor (Defender of Truth) will insist you give the villagers the kingdom.
