As I was browsing the posts on Steemit I keep reading quite a bit about Steemmonsters. Seems to me like it is a great deal to be able to play a game almost for free and to earn a bit of crypto with it as well or build your deck. Sure, the initial deck costs a few Steem units but you can get rewards as soon as you start.
There is one thing that bothers me a little bit though and that is the fact that the greatest part of the cards cannot be earned by playing the game. This does keep their value high but basically means that you have to keep investing steem. So sometimes you have to make a decision between building your Steemit or Steemmonsters account.
But then again, the Steemmonsters cards have a maximum level and the Steemit account does not. So at some point I guess that your Steemmonsters deck is done and you just win a whole bunch against the top level players.
For today I made a start with my quest and did some battles. Here is an example of how well I do already;
