Dark Energy Chrystals - The new in Game Currency in Splinterlands!!!

Hi Monsters,

I would like to share with you my excitement about the introduction of the new Splinterlands in-game-currency Dark Energy Chrystals (DEC).

Since, yesterday everybody in the Steemmonsters Community is crazy about those "Chrystals" yes everybody is high on that "Dark Energy" that you get from winning battles in ranked mode or you just "burn" your old cards to release the DEC within.

I haven't burned yet any of my cards, because I wanted to wait and see what is the most efficient way to handle the new economics.
A lot of users purchased extra cheap Reward Cards like the Rusty Android, Vampire and Mech Goblins for 1cent and now the prices went up 50 - 100%.

Others were concentrating on getting cheap Gold Cards and Epic Cards those seem to give more DEC than regular cards.
There are many ways to calculate if you should keep your cards or "burn" it for DEC. Here is a chart that @aggroed came up with. He puts all those different rarity cards into comparisson and calculates what it costs to generate 1000 DEC.

The prices will vary with the price of the cards and the price of Steem of course.

So, what do you get for you new Dark Energy Chrystals?

Potions seems to be a big thing since they come in three rarities and can boost your ability to get "legendary" or "Gold" cards with your daily reward, Booster pack purchase or Orb pack.

The "mystery Potion" is a random choice of ether "cards from the Reward Card Pool", "Booster Packs", "Orbs" etc... so you can be lucky or not so lucky what you get.

Another big thing are the new "Orbs" which are similar to "Booster Packs" and contain five new cards from the new "Change of Winds Collection".

What are you going to do with your DEC?

• Right now I'm selling my DEC for Steem on the Steem Engine exchange, because I think its overvalued at the moment. I will be buying back when its cheaper.

And how much DEC do you receive for your ranked Battles?

• I'm receiving about 200 DEC in Champions league 1 with 85% capture rate and some Alpha Cards and Gold Cards in the game.
