I knew cards would be included as it was mentioned in a number of Town Halls and on Discord. What I didn’t know was that they would be wrapped! I find myself looking at them wondering what is inside but not wanting to open them so I could save them. I have already seen a couple of unpacking so know that there is a good mix available. However, I will leave it to luck and the unknown for now as they could definitely be worth it years done the road when Splinterlands is mainstream.
I should have started with the bag itself which has the iconic Chopper logo. I absolutely love it and will surely use for future Splinterfests! I was hoping to get more things with that logo but it wasn’t in the bag. However, the new merchandise shop was launched the same week and I already ordered while at Splinterfest. I wanted to buy there but it was probably a good idea as I had no space on my luggage back given more things given out. The t-shirt was awesome and me like many others actually wore in for Day 2 of the event. I will definitely be using it to represent the game wherever I go.
The big (literally) surprise was the SWAG for those of us with VIP passes. We each got a brand new HyperX headset! While I have some at home, I think this will be a pretty good spare to have for travel. It was tricky to get it packed as it was in a pretty big box. However, I ultimately decided to take it out of the box and take in my backpack for the trip back home. Lastly, we also got some great artwork and stickers which represent the great direction it is going towards the future. It was well worth it although the value was really being there with the community and meeting so many players! Until next year!
