So I wrote a booster pack farmer bot just to see how hard it was. Before you puke at how inefficient it is just keep in mind the purpose of this is not to be efficient. It's a brute-force node.js script that barely qualifies as a bot. It's intended to run on whatever box you might have.
Here it is: sm-booster-pack-farmer.js
I wouldn't be surprised if it's already outdated.
All it does is log in and click stuff. You have to modify it and provide the account/key to log in. You also have to create a saved team called "Farmers" and that team has to be good enough to beat other players once in a while.
If it doesn't work for you it's probably because they changed the website layout. All I know is it works for me right now. It's not smart enough to quit if you have no quests so you need to keep an eye on it.
I don't know anything about blockchain so if there's a more direct way to do it, that's great, but that's not the point. The point is this bot took me 15 minutes to write. In my opinion, if there really is a "bot problem" on Steem Monsters then step #1 is to make this kind of bot harder to write (which looks like that's going to happen).
Edit: No longer works as of 2018-11-26 gameplay changes, but it's still a good place to start if you want to take your own stab at it.
calling it a "farmer" is really bad marketing :P
anyways... you might want to look into @holger80's python scripts: https://github.com/holgern/steemmonsters
That's what all the hip farmers use these days ;)
P.S.: also check @steemmonsters blog, they just announced some changes to make botting less attractive

Kudos to the bot makers, such creative talent... more kudos to the game developers making bots useless, preserving card values!
