You read the title right. The Beta edition of @steemmonsters has been released. The booster packs are only $2 and contain 5 cards. The same price as the Alpha editions. There will be a total of 900,000 Beta edition cards sold. Along with the beta version of the current Alpha cards there are also new cards added to the game.
New Beta Cards
As you can see there are lots of cool interesting new cards. The #steem-monsters bug is real and its catching everyone. It cost nothing to receive cards and packs from friends so if you can't purchase any cards it would be a good idea to head on over to the #steem-monsters tag and compete in any or all of the amazing giveaways the @steemmonster community has going on every single day. Some of these cards have already sold for upwards of $3000 so even if your not a game player you can become a HODL'er.
Sounds great. I am new here. Would you like to explain a little bit more about the cards such as what are the mechanisms or what I have to do after purchasing a package.

I am new to these type of games myself but will do my best to answer any questions. Game play hasn't started yet and won't start until mid next month. A starter pack is $5 if you don't need a Steemit account / $10 if you do ( USD ). You need to purchase the starter pack if you want to play in the tournaments which will have real cash value added to them. Starter packs contain 15 common cards. Booster packs contain 5 random cards and cost $2 USD each.

howdy sir rentmoney! well sir...I have no idea about these cards but I like the looks of them and I'm sure they're going to be big so thanks for promoting them. From what I understand there are a mix of cards and it's up to luck on which ones you get in the purchased pack?

Howdy to you as well @janton. Yes its nothing but pure luck as to what you get inside a pack. The game has been getting allot of hype and some cards have been selling for upwards of $3000 USD. I have never played any such game before but I have been picking up some cards to hold for hopefully increased profits months down the road.

That is exactly what buying packs is but there is the added bonus of playing in the upcoming tournaments that will have USD and likely other prizes in them as well + the potential of their future value.
