Thanks to the drop in the price of Steem, I treated myself to some extra Steem. Rather by coincidence, I brought my account pretty close to dolphinhood.
To celebrate this unforseen event, I thought I'd hold a little Giveaway.

Awesome idea. I am in the process of taking advantage of the low Steem price myself. I am hoping I can get to 500SP with a little transaction here or there. I haven't been able to purchase a lot of booster packs because I have been putting all of my SBD and STEEM into powering up. That's my pitch I guess. In my humble opinion, I think that investing your money in your account is way smarter than investing it in digital cards for a game that doesn't even exist yet, lol. Definitely when the 500sp milestone is within reach.
Personally, I'm going back and forth when it comes to SM. At times, I really suffer from FOMO, and then I head to the website to buy a couple of decks. But most of the time I already feel bad for spending that money by the time I'm opening my second deck. I assume that will change once the tournaments have started. I have never played a game like that before, so as long as we are still waiting, I don't have a clue how the game will be played, nor if I will like it.
But what I do know is that most people like a good giveway, and for that reason, the cards are pricesless, lol

Thank you! Yeah I haven't spent a ton on it like some people because i am building my account like I said. Having played games similar to how I think this is going to work, my biggest fear is that tournament winners will be based on how much a person. Has spent. I like these kind of contest, where people are invited to, well say just about anything. I mean I could have done another phobia type thing or something else just as silly. Just think, there may be people that read my comment that have never heard of the movie "Sound Of music", (which i do not really like), but it still a good thing to watch. I should be a chosen one, because I liked Steem Monsters before it was cool, and even then it was already cool.
I did not have enough SBD to buy a pack when they first came out, so I joined the map drawing and writing contests and now I am part of the game. Most of my cards come from contests, and tonight my son came to me and said "can we open some monster cards?" But alas, I had no unopened packs left.....

I did spend €250 on crypto. But as that was around January 2018, that has basically dropped in value with around 50%. Back then I didn't know about Steem, so I gambled on other crypto coins.
Even if I would have known about Steem I would have only spend €50 on it. To spread my crypto risk a bit I bought different coins. And €50 would have only given me around 25 Steem back then. So that wouldn't help much.

I should be one of the chosen ones because I fully believe in the platform like steemit and believe it will change the world. I was a dreamer at bitcoin 1100 that it would one day reach 12k and now I have raised my ante. Mainly just wanted to say cool for getting more STEEM and getting that much closer to dolphinhood. I've been waiting to see what else prices might do but do plan to buy more soon. Unless the price goes down significantly, I won't get to 4,000-ish like you did, but I will be in the solid 3,000s, which sounds better than the low 2,000s. :) Need to do something to keep above the dust threshold since the value of my SP keeps dropping.

Well, I find myself wishing it would just do something and get it over with. A dip of a day or so to $0.50 USD, and then take off to the $15 people keep predicting around here would be great. I'd get to dolphinhood or pretty close to it that way by investing at the lower, and then my overall investment would be boosted by a factor of 15. And then I could tell my wife that I actually made more than she did by 2.5 times. That I think might make her okay with all of this. :) A guy can dream, right?

Steem monsters is my first online collectible card game ever. I was introduced to it a few months ago and have been hooked ever since. I blew away more than third of my account value on the monster packs and still planning to buy some more at the right time. The thing is that I don’t see steem monsters as just another card game. I see them as a game that could possibly introduce a new breath of life in the whole STEEM ecosystem. I see it as a future investment that I could have tons and tons of fun with.
I not only want to play this game whole heatedly, but I plan to dedicate a major section of my time on Steem Blockchain to this passion. At this point I am not just willing to invest my time in this game, I am willing to invest myself. I am not here trying to adopt Steem monsters as my new hobby. This is serious. Serious business indeed…………... but deep down I know that the only things that are worth getting serious about are things that you truly enjoy.
Since this would be my first time playing a card game so there would probably be a steep learning curve and I need to load up my arsenal for the upcoming games. Which means that I need to have as many cards as possible. Even multiple cards of the same type so I can level up or trade them for ones that I don’t have. My wallet doesn’t have money to buy enough packs to get all the cards. I have done the math and even if I spend all the SBD that I have on buying booster packs, I won’t be able to get all the legendaries (let’s not even talk about the gold foils). So, winning the cards in contests seems to be another great way to add to my collection.
Steemit is becoming a crowded place. Soon there will be even more people here and with that there is a chance that red fishes like me are going to be pushed aside. So, I say this to all fellow small fries – find something worthwhile to do here on Steemit and make a mark. Perhaps a niche or something that you can be good at. I am trying to do that with Steem Monsters.

Why should I win this? Humm... well, being The Chosen One is a pretty cool thing to brag about! I don't have any card yet and whatever I generated on steemit it looks all will get over just buying starter pack. So, I can't decide but I still wanted to play this.

15 SP is a very small amount though.
When people talk about delegating SP they advice you to leave 50 SP in your account so you still have some voting power.
Powering down 15SP doesn't seem to be such a good idea.
