In this post we announced that we would be releasing a
New Reward Edition Card every day for 20 days!

Today we will be releasing a new
Common Fire Splinter Card - Exploding Dwarf!

This card has one goal - to do as much damage as possible before dying. With 1 Health, he'll blow up if another Monster so much as looks at him wrong, but if he gets the chance to attack (which may be through the Retaliate ability) he'll do a whopping 6 Melee damage at max level which pierces through armor and blasts adjacent enemy Monsters! Finally, if his explosive attack kills its target, he will trample over to the next enemy Monster with the same explosive power!

Retaliate plus Blast is going to be really entertaining. Do Blast and Piercing stack?

I had to go look this up in the code myself...there's so many interactions in this game even I can't keep them all straight (which is really cool, IMO). But anyway, it looks like the Piercing ability will also apply to Blast damage.

Defiantly a high risk, high reward card for glass cannon builds. But any opponent with a sold tank in the front will counter him easily, especially if it has thorns + shield ability (which cuts melee/ranged damage in half)

Thorns are pretty much his biggest weakness - even in melee friendly game modes like Super Sneak or Melee Mayhem @fantasycrypto

Very provocative card! Now how to build a team that can protect this fragile but angry specimen!

eieieiei... you guys really have a incredible reservoir of all kinds of crazy monster ideas...

downside: I sometimes feel as if my Alpha monsters can not compete any more...

Amazing new card with super creative skills. If you play this right, it could destroy an entire core of a strong team. It will not be easy to really plan for anything with that ticking bomb but certainly a funny and crazy wild card in a Fire team.

OMG! This guy is a terrorist armed with a dirty bomb! I hope I will never encounter him. Can you imagine this guy in a "Super Sneak" round?

Whoa, this looks overpowering to me... but we will have to see. I find this particularly OP in the melee mayhem format. No one said he had to be in the front...

Nice out of the box creativity though.

Definitely makes Thorns essential.

Agree that this could be way overpowered in game formats that allow melee attacks from all positions, they’ll have to watch that closely...

This card will just murder it in Melee Mayhem and Super Sneak

Unbelievable I am all for the cards that cause the most mayhem. Not even AllState can protect you from mayhem, like the exploding dwarf.

lol, this one threw me off a bit. That one HP though is killer going to have to build up some decent protection around him.

Oh ho ho ho ho! This fellow seems to have some anger issues. I do believe he is my new favorite monster. I can't wait to get one!

this has been very fun! thanks y'all. i've gotten all of the new cards save the Imp Bowman and Javelin Thrower and it's been fun playing with them and learning how to use them with the most force! i especially like that new water archer who throws twiiiiice! comes in handy in a pinch ;) keep up the great evolution!

Does Blast work with Retaliate from last position?

Definitely one of the most interesting cards so far! But I disagree that he is OP in melee mayhem settings or super sneak - One monster with "thorns" ability and he is 100% dead after his first hit, especially since there is no way that ne gets a shield as of now.

I'm just surprised he's a common. With speed 6, I can foresee things getting crazy. Why not put him in the first spot?

tick tick tick BOOM! Is that the sound of this card getting wrecked before he gets into play or the sound of him dealing a shit done of damage as a counter shot..

Interesting card, fun to think about for sure. How does he get played, not tank, maybe not even off tank, not at end of deck... Hidden somewhere in the middle maybe?!? I can see my death deck taking away 1 melee and slowing his ass down with Undead priest and Creeping ooze,..then lets see how often this guy gets to strike ;p
