I'm sick of low level "life splinter" bots. How I beat them.

Have you ever come across a low level opponent with an incredible team that wipes the floor with you??

Was that opponent playing a "life" splinter by any chance and did it look similar to this:

They always play a combination of SILVERSHIELD PALADIN, DEVINE HEALER, PEACEBRINGER - all level 3 or 4. Plus low level neutral cards if manna cap is high enough.

Well I was sick and tired of playing against them every game and loosing. Well that's not technically true, I would occasionally win.... The only time I would win us if the game-play rules had "melee" attack monsters only.

The bot team wouldn't be able to configure a team and so what quit.

So how did I combat this and finally start to climb up the lower leagues??

There was a very good blog written by @cryptogamestrat, which I will copy below. He talks about certain strategies that are most effective against these types of combinations.

Now unfortunately, these strategies are based on last seasons game rules. This season sees a few tweeks being made to lower level cards and the cards he suggests at lower levels don't quit work to beat them now.

So I did what I had to do and head to #steemmonsters market place and buy some summoners to help me strengthen my team.

Now the best bit of advice I can give to anyone trying to beat these bots is to best them at their own game.

So get a team with a strong tank and a good healer. I already had a few level 3 "earth" splinter cards but no summoner high enough to use them.

So I had to dip in to my steem savings and purchase a level 2 LYANNA (with a 2/3). Knowing I has 1 card that I could combine, to make her a level 3 summoner.

This gives me a surprisingly strong team with low level cards now and I almost win ever time.

Flesh golem - level 3
Wood nymph - lv 3
Mushroom seer - lv 4
Magi of the forest - lv 1
Earth elemental - lv 1

With the heal of the flesh golem and wood nymph, my tank is pretty much going to last well in to round 4. This gives plenty of time for my magic attacks to do great damage to the opposition tank and usually wins me the game. I will also give a lot of credit to the EARTH ELEMENTAL, for a low manna card it has high health and is grest sitting at the back taking up and ranged or sneek attacks.

With lower level manna game I switch to a different formation that also relys on the heavy tank and healer combo:

Sorry if I've bored you with something you already know, but since I picked up my new summoner, I've started to climb the leagues again and started to enjoy playing again

Whelshie Very Good Post and I am Proud of your SteemMonster Accomplishments......................

Thanks buddy. I'm still getting to grips with the little changes they made this season. My fire splinter isn't as strong as last season due to tweeks they did to giantrok etc
