    Does @steemmonsters have any way to earn cards through the game itself? Or are those of us who don't own cards left to buy in at some point?

      Yeah, you have to buy them first. Just like you would if you would play any other card collection game. The regular cards don't cost much. Starting from $0.05 up til $15, if you don't count the super rare and gold cards.
