If not for big dreams Ahmadu Bello wouldn't have struggled for the independence of Nigeria along side Tafawa Balewa, Herbert Macaulay, Nnamdi Azikiwe.

If not for big dreams Margaret Ekpo wouldn't have become a woman right's activist pioneering female politician in the country.

If not for big dreams Mary Slessor wouldn't have risked her life to stop the killing of twins.

If not for big dreams Nelson Mandela wouldn't have fought for the freedom of South Africa.

If not for big dreams Martin Luther King wouldn't have become a leader in the civil right movement and be known for his famous "I have a dream" speech.

If not for big dreams Charles Barbage wouldn't have produced the first mechanical computer which led to many other developments like the mobile phone I am using to type this.

If not for big dreams Betty Cohen wouldn't have founded the Cartoon Network and given us the awesome childhood we had.

If not for big dreams Wole Soyinka wouldn't have been a name we all reckon.

If not for big dreams Funmilayo Kuti would not have been known as the "Mother of Africa" who fought against military injustice.

Let us not forget Chinua Achebe, would he have become a renowned novelist without having big dreams?

Big dreams made The Wright brothers build and flew the first aircraft showing man could fly.

As for one of my role models, Ben Carson; without big dreams and the help of God he would not have separated Siamese twins.

We would not have heard of Albert Einstein if he did not have big dreams. We would have known little or nothing about physics.

Lets go to football as it is my favourite sport. The likes of Ronaldo who just won his 5th award from FIFA Ballon d'or, Messi, Ronaldinho, David Beckham, Jay Jay Okocha and my crush, one of the best goal keepers of all times, David De Gea would have not been heard of if they did not dream bigger.

Let's not forget Serena Williams, LeBron James, Lupita Nyong'o and others who are outstanding in their various fields. They wouldn't get there without big dreams.

Barack Obama would not have become the first black American President if he didn't aim higher.

We all have big dreams too. That's why we go to school to enlighten ourselves, its the reason we wake up everyday even when we are so tired we still dress up for work. Big dreams are those things that have motivated us to be where we are now.
