Steemocracy : A Steem Comic | Volumes 5 | "State For Sale"

in steemocracy •  8 years ago

Bill's a little confused, so let me explain. I decided to post all Volumes in this one post to summarize everything so far and catch up anyone that's just tuning in. Each Volume has a corresponding article that deals with that volume. Click the Volume name below to read the associated articles.

Volume 1 - Edward Snowden Joins Steemit

Volume 2 - All Quiet on the Steemit Front

Volume 3 - Dedronalization

Volume 4 - Bill Kill

Volume 5 - State for Sale

Fun Facts

A batch of new emails suggest that Clinton Foundation members get special access and treatment for their donations. Of 154 people from private interests who donated to the Clinton's family "charity" or pledged commitments to it's international programs, 85 of them were able to have phone conversations or meet with Hillary Clinton while she was head of the State Department.

Donors that were granted special access include famous economist, Wall Street executives and corporate executives to name a few. Clinton also met with at least 16 foreign government officials who donated as much as $170 million to the Clinton Foundation.

Federal law states that it is against the law to act in the interest of private businesses or individuals. However, the Clinton Foundation has helped to enrich the Clinton's friends, cronies and family according to an investigation by the Associated Press.

For anyone curious, Volume's 1-3 were created on a 6"x3" wacom tablet and it was a pain in the ass to learn to use, plus it's very small. The remaining Volume's have been created on a Yiynova 19" drawing tablet monitor and it makes all the difference in the world.

Steemit made it possible to afford both my Wacom and the new tablet, thanks to my previous comic, "Steem Life", which was created with nothing more than a mouse and lots of time.

Thanks to everyone that are enjoying the comic's and especially those of you that are upvoting and leaving feedback! I really appreciate hearing from all of you and whether or not you enjoy a certain topic or not, plus some of you have given me some great ideas! :)

Thank you!!!

My favourite it the Bill "Is it Rape or Kill day" - hilarious!

:)

Love the "all seeing eye of God" watching Bill. He will meet his maker one day!

These things are amazing. It's a shame they don't get more attention.

Thank you! I agree. :)

You all comic stripes are great :)

Thanks for continuing to follow this comic! :)

Wow, this is beyond incredible. Who did the artwork? You? That in and of itself is masterful. But, these pieces are poignant and hilarious! You sir, are a master.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoy them. :)

Nicely done! I'm constantly amazed at how much these people get away with.

And I'm amazed at your comic creation abilities, too!

Same here. It's repulsive to see the elite's crimes go unpunished while the populous is treated like dogs for smoking plants or any victimless crime. Thanks for the kind words. :)

I made that exact comment to my wife tonight. I said, "Clinton gets millions of dollars by selling her government position as Secretary to private foreign donors and she can hide e-mails from the FBI that's investigating her, but I can't smoke a joint in my own house." Something is wrong here.

Good to see all in one place! Always enjoy your work and I'm sure others do as well!

Yeah, I think every 5 Volumes I will summarize them all like this. Thanks for the feedback and upvote! :)

Flashback to the good old comics in the Sunday paper -- only better. Cheers @tuck-fheman

Heh, thanks! :)

Bravissimo. Very cool story. And the heroes of the natural ( alive very much alive))). Thx!

Thank you! :)

Great work so far - as always!

You did well to display all comics in the series so far. Gives us an overview and a wish for more :)

Lol that's so good. My hat is off to you, sir.

I think your comics are undervalued. Its bomb!

I like most "Volume 1 - Edward Snowden Joins Steemit"

It would be cool if he really did join Steem! :)

The Steem life comics were very funny. I bet these new drawings take more time even with a bigger tablet.

Thanks! Most of the Steem Life comics took 1-3 hours, so yeah they were much quicker to create. Basically I was just using a base meme and then adjusting things for each frame. Once I had 20 or so frames I was then able to duplicate them in later episodes when necessary, adjusting the facial expression only, which saved a lot of time.

These do take a lot more time, mainly due to the coloring. It is getting quicker the more I get used to drawing with a tablet and learning new techniques that save time. I'm rather new to Photoshop and especially drawing in PS, so I've been trying to learn as I go.

My next mission is to learn to create "clipping mask" which should save me time when coloring these in. I finally learned to use layers which speed up the process tremendously and from what I've seen clipping mask will make it even easier.

Layers and clipping masks do make things easier. I have gave up on my wacom tablet because I prefer to draw using pencils, or I just make something in Illustrator with my mouse.

Dude, these are some edgy comics. Thumbs up! I was looking for more morning coffee strips
