Greetings Steemian's,
Recently I decided to change use of my primary posting frontend UI, and default API node, for reasons outlined in this post.
I'm someone who is a slow, but proficient learner. The switch has not been easy for me, and use of busy.org has been pleasant, but has come with it's challenges as well.
The major issues I am having right now, are searching posts and tags. These issues are slightly minimal, but it's definitely slowing me down.
So with some recommendations to try SteemPeak, I've decided to give it a go, and this isn't so much of a review, but more or less, an outline of my initial experience the first time using it. As I am typing this post, I am composing screenshot snippets, with thoughts regarding what I feel to be the strong points of this frontend UI, and what areas I feel like I might struggle with.
The first thing I noticed when loading the site, was how easy it is to log in, utilizing the Steem Keychain.
Awesome! Now we're cooking with crypto 😉
I really like the Steem Keychain, so this is a major bonus ✔️
The next thing I notice, is the white screen of death (as futuremind calls it), that is, default mode is white background, which really bugs my eye's out. My first order of business is to see if there is a dark mode.
Bingo.. We're good on the eye's.
Next thing I see:
Not happening...
That's better 😎
At this point, I can safely say, this is a frontend UI that futuremind will be using.
Some other nice controls:
Futuremind looks at an occasional SteemBooby 😋
Upon loading my profile page, I like what I see, (not in a narcissistic way) for the features I think are pretty useful, such as hiding resteems, quick access to settings, really just super nice!
The interface controls are similar to busy, with feel and look. It's too early for me to say which interface I like more, but I can say that I am really liking this.
What is this explore tab all about?
Whoah!!! This is becoming more appealing by the minute!
Another cool feature, is the tools tab in the drop down menu.
I'm not sure if these stats look super great, but I'm not stressing it 😎
The only issue I've run into is the search feature.
It's a small gripe really, because I have an idea:
I'm going to give Steeve a try soon, and see if this is an effective way to search for content. I don't mind reading posts that are older than 1 week. It seems posts become forgotten by many if they are not within payout range, and it's only my opinion that we shouldn't dismiss how valuable "old info" can be. If it were not for some posts that were years old, I wouldn't have figured out how this blockchain works, at least it would have been harder anyways.
(Let's also not forget, if you comment on an old post, and have a conversation with the user, upvoting their response, is an effective way to reward them for old content!)
This is it for my quick review and first time trying SteemPeak. For a first time, this is pretty seamless and nice, and I'm super excited to get more familiar. (The markdown editor is also, very nice.)
So thanks to my bro @barge for the recommendation. I really like SteemPeak! And I will be using this for posting alongside of the frontend's that I already utilize from here on out.
I look forward to becoming more proficient and comfortable with this awesome UI.
Thanks for reading.
Much love,
@futuremind

Nice review,
while writing an article, i find the Snippets-Tool useful. And Steempeak is one of the few UI´s, where you can set beneficiaries. Standard is 5 % for Steempeak.

Thank you for the kind words :)
SteemPeak feels very well built and operates quite smoothly.
I was checking out the beneficiaries option, and also noticed that it's easy to set other users as beneficiaries, with complete control over the percentage cut.
Nice how there are no pervasive ads, (like Steemit's frondend) and there is an abundance of settings for the user to customize the experience.
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Steempeak saved my life, did you know you can create templates and schedule posts?

No I wasn't aware of this! I know this feature is available with other frontends, and some users find it very useful. It's been a busy weekend, but I will certainly be getting more familiar with SteemPeak.
Thank you for the tip, really appreciated!

@futuremind I love steempeak and use it daily. I highly recommend people try it if all they have used is steemit.
