Some of my own personal thoughts about SPS and SteemPeak's second proposal. These are mostly just my own thoughts and not @steempeak's official opinion. As a team we're still trying to figure out what we think of SPS. I mean we did spend way too long building a nice interface for it so we figured we would test it out because it seemed like a nice way for steem users themselves to decide if they want to give projects some funding to do their thing.

STATUS OF PROPOSAL #2 and SPS

• By number of voters and value of support we are now the second most voted Proposal on Steem right now.
• We just hit 101 supporters and we thank everyone.
• it's only been up for a couple days and already gaining momentum that may soon put it at the most voted of all proposals (including return) ... but 2nd place is fine. haha
• We're asking for 500-1250sbd
• At 100sbd a day we won't be getting funding for the first couple days so at the request of 1500 we could still hit the 1250.
• At 1250sbd that would be 4.9% of the funds in steem.dao as of today (25,474.151 SBD)
  But roughly it will represent about 2-3% of funds in the account by the time proposal ends in 2 weeks as around 2k is added daily.
• We have our proposal set artificially low in part to make it easy to vote for but because we are a business and we don't think the community should PAY for our developments.
• But we think proposal #2 adds a HUGE amount of VALUE to the community so we like the idea of donating and speaking your mind as to whether these things should be done.
• I think being one of the most supported proposals on all of Steem proposals to date mean you guys want this and I'm gonna push my hardest to make these features happen regardless of funding.
• In the end it's up to a very small subset of active voters who actually decide funding (as of right now it's primarily @blocktrades, @theycallmedan and @proxy.token who have make or break voting power) ... but your votes tell us what you're interesting in and that's not nothing to us. Seeing that we're a site built on the contribution and request of the community I really want to see that 27 item feature set still implimented because I think it could be a huge win for the community.

Of note is that this friend Derral Eves runs one of the most influential Youtube conferences in the world. https://vidsummit.com/ I've not just done his family pictures for years i've also gone and taken pictures for him at his events. It's not a well known public conference like vidcon where tens of thousands of fans go. This is where all the big youtubers go to learn (no fans at all) how to do their jobs and the caliber of youtubers there and what it represents is why i say it's one of the most INFLUENTIAL conferences in the world. It's been eye opening going and listening to the classes and chilling with the youtube crowd who really go all out for their businesses.

Youtubers are part of who i'm aiming for when I think of SteemPeak. Since joining SteemPeak i've talked to them about it and made a ton of mental notes about what they're really looking for and what they really expect in a social media platform. I've told them steem isn't ready yet... but SOON. That list of what SteemPeak needs is getting smaller and smaller. Luckily no where on that list is the price of Steem... so that's a good thing.
