Foodphotography • Fried Tofu for Lunch [Ulog #001]

Its nice to be back, haha!
I was busy for a month and my mind was kindda empty on what to post here. 😅😅

Got an idea for the things that I usually do everyday... And let me share to you a very simple food preparation for lunch.

I was craving for something crispy to eat but can’t decide what to cook for my self, so I ended up with Fried Tofu or ”Pritong Tokwa”.

Fried Tofu is usually paired with fried pork ears or pork belly mixed together as an appitezer, popular here in the Philippines as “Tokwa’t Baboy”.

Since, I don’t want to eat pork and for a change with the usual recipe, I made it plain as deep-fried tofu.

I personally bought the fresh tofu from the market. Cut into small cubes, but before that make sure to pat dry the excess water to avoid the splashing of hot oil while deep frying.

And there you go, the brown and crispy fried tofu.
I used kitchen towel (tissue paper) as the the oil absorber to remove the grease before putting on the serving platter.

Fried tofu is best served with dipping of the combined ingredients of soy sauce, vinegar, chopped onion, pinch of sugar, green and red hot chilli pepper.

As you can see, I used green peppers for the garnishing, coz’ I love spicy flavors, haha!

This dish is also best as ”Pulutan”, appetizer, side dish and a rice meal.

I would say the taste is really good as expected to be, also good if you’re avoiding to have meat.
As well as perfect if you’re imagining to eat Crispy Pata or Lechong Kawali coz’ the dipping is also same with those mouthwatering Pinoy Fiesta foods. 😂😂
