So there! One afternoon during my 2016 vacation in my home town in Bicol, I was about to go to bed when my Papa asked me to buy vinegar (nautusan pa ko???)
It may sound funny but if we just think about it… there is really no place like home; that at the end of the day, aside from your role in the office, aside from being an adult, aside from everything that you are outside your house, once we go home, we are just us. You are just you. Your parent’s you. Your family’s you.
Whether you’re a son, a daughter, a sister, or whoever you are at home. You will just be you. ?? Let’s admit; once you feel the need of having a rest from being an adult and you miss those times when all your problem is, how to open your lollipop and what games to play in the afternoon with your mates, home is the perfect place to go. Because no matter what your age is, no matter what career you already have, you will always just be you... You may still be asked to go out for an errand. (At mauutusan ka padin ng mga magulang mo) Because for them, you are just you, you will always be a kid in their eyes.
Make the most of the time with your parents, coz’ once they are gone… all you can do is reminisce of the times that you were together.

My dad died just this last Sept 13. My daughter was born exactly one month later Oct 13. I had not talked to my dad in about 4 years. He just didn't like me. It was sad for me being the only son his namesake same name as him. We only talked maybe 6 times in the last 25 years always ending badly and with him yelling at me, me running away not to be hurt by him ever again. I don't think I could have done any thing to change things unless I was just able to take the abuse and love it. I chose to be happy and keep my children from such an angry soul.

I have four children and I love them dearly and treat them with great respect and honor. My life is devoted to my children and my wife. Dont get me wrong I am saying that you should be very happy you had a good dad and thankful that you got to spend quality time with him while he was alive. I never had that. Even though both our dads are gone your still better off you will always have the good memories.

I agree to you my friend. His memories will be cherished in my/our hearts forever. He was my hero and my bestfriend :) Sad, but I know he wants me to go on with my life. Thanks for sharing. It is true that in the eyes of a parent, you will always be their baby. Being a parent myself, as I see my kids grow, I would always wish that I could carry them again in my arms and rock them to sleep.

Nothing really beats being with family, being with people where you truly can be yourself, i can really relate to it for having had lost both my dad and my mom. It puts you in deep thoughts where you would say that no matter what, cherishing family is still the prime of it all, it is a personal treasure that has no corresponding price tag.
