Photography Wednesday: Boracay at Night

Before the closure of the world-famous beach, our very own Boracay in Aklan, I had a chance to see its beauty last year. A first hand experience of the fine white sand and wonderful sunset, plus leisure activities you can do there like parasailing, helmet diving, ATV, and more.

The night life is one more thing you shouldn't miss, well if the beach goes up and running again. I know it's not my thing anymore as I matured from being a party animal back in the days to being the not-so-young professional nowadays but hey this is just a one time experience so why not, right?

You can choose to party all night in a dance club but can also go on acoustic session with a band if you feel like listening to Moira-type, or Boyce Avenue-ish male groups. As for me I enjoyed listening to acoustic bands while having small talks or long convos with the people I am with. Grabbed a bucket of beer or two plus sisig then that's it. I would love to visit it again, with my parents though.

And I really hope the place is indeed closed for rehabilitation and not just for some grand casino to be put up by foreigner nationals. This island is a beauty and a wonder on its own. It doesn't even need enhancement from us, humans. What it needs is cleansing and preservation, from all the trash that we ourselves had put into it, a bottle, a candy wrapper, a plastic bag, even our wastes from rest rooms and sinks. Let's all try to be a responsible traveller, and more over, be a responsible citizen of earth. Whatever happens to it is our own doing and nature has its own way of bringing back to us what we brought first to it.
