What's with these kids and their toys; what makes these toys so adorable to children and why is it as if they just can't live without them and why is it that in a lot of occassions they just keep on craving for more of these even if they had something totally similar before, they still want to have another like it again. I know the feeling and the sense of satisfaction to have a toy and how it provides a means of fulfillment to the child.

Well, for one thing i can only speak for myself for being once a child i know what having a piece of something like a toy feels but to speak in terms of how a kids brain functions in terms of it's reactions to certain toys, that i am in no position to discuss for i am not a child psychologist.

I can only stick with the basic discussions, and this is certainly how i would describe my experience with a particular kid of whom i know first hand, for this is regarding somebody who is definitely close. And who else would that be but my own little 3 yr. old kid, Matthew, although at a young age i find it quite impressive on how a kid's mind works and how it appreciates certain things like the fastfood chain toys. The one's that comes together as a promo when you buy a particular meal and they include a toy together with it, and of course we certainly would know why these fastfood chains would do such a thing and that is for their customers especially their children to patronize their food products more frequently, to boost sales so to speak.

It just suddenly hit me last night while i was watching a weekly sunday night T.V. show where they would document and feature a lot of stories about people, places and events. I came accross this story about this guy who was into collecting fastfood chain toys. And his collection was a roomful at that and i find the story quite interesting, his interest in collecting those toys started when he was 6 yrs. old according to him.

The thought suddenly dawned upon me that the interest in collecting even starts much earlier than that, and it can start as early as 3 yrs. of age. I started looking down where a kid was playing with his toys and these are similar to the one's that was being featured in the story, when i look at this little kid playing i was thinking maybe he does not even realize that he is already starting off on a hobby of his own. He is really into fastfood chain toys and if i bring him to the toy store instead, he shows disinterest with the toys that he sees there, the only ones that would trigger his excitement are the promotional toys of these fastfood chains, i find it quite interestingly funny though. There is a certain kind of magic with those toys and it remains to be a bit of a mystery.
