The depth of corruption.

Corruption in the world today has eaten so deep that people find it like a lifestyle. In the world today, it's like if you're not corrupt, you're not fit to be a human .

Corruption can be defined as misuse of power, public and private. Corruption has caused so much pain in the world today, that even the justice system also is so corrupt even in it's judgement against corruption, and yes you could say that's just one big whole problem that seems there will never be a solution to. Corruption did not start today neither did it start few years back. It has been with man, since the beginning of time, both ADs and BCs.

Corruption means evil, dishonesty, decay and lies. A government who pretends to care for the welfare of it's people, a government who tells it's people one thing and does another who never come through with it's promises to it people.

I am a Nigerian and as a Nigerian, I could say Nigeria on the list of most corrupt countries in the world, stands at number 136. And the Nigeria government has also played it's role in the game of corruption when it comes to it's people. It's something that did not just start recently and it has been like a bedrock for our political state.
If you have been a Nigerian long enough as I have been, I would say, it would not be so easy for you to understand the predicament the people suffer under the hand of corruption. Corruption has eaten so deep that it is found basically every sector of the country, and the people who are suppose to stand for justice are also corrupt, here by making it almost impossible to fix. Most times it seems , it's only with the help of divine intervention, that's the only way the country is going to be set free from the claws of corruption. For example, the educational system in the country has become so bad that, education now seems like a thing for the rich only, blended with the fact that , parents don't even care now what you do to pass your papers. Just have a good score.

In the university, lecturers see students as virtually walking ATMs and walking sex dolls. That most of them requires you to play your part, or else you won't see the for front of a graduation event. Most times, even when you're supper intelligent and has everything it takes to give you a bright future, because of the dept of corruption, it never happens. That's on the side of the lecturers.

Now on the side of the government, where it really gets crazy, most of these people don't get paid when they are suppose to (I mean the good ones) and these people have families , both extended, they have needs, they have responsibilities, and they have just one job, which they do very deligently and still not get paid. This therefore result in them doing what ever is necessary to survive. Tasking student for money, taking bribes to pass student, there by making students who don't want to study, pay money to pass and they ones who really wants to study, don't have money to pay, can't pass, because if you don't pay.. you will purposely be failed, which means coming back to school and paying extra fees .

The government sideline these funds to their own personal pocket for their selfish reasons sending their children abroad to study In better schools and can't make their own schools even stand out, because of the depth of corruption.

There's virtually no political leader right now, whose son or daughter is not studying abroad or has finished studying abroad .

This is just one sector of corruption of the other plenty sectors if corruptions. If we should go on today, I doubt you would have that time to read it all.
So all am saying is this, people actually know the right thing to do, but because of the greed that has been with man, since time memorial, it has eaten deep that it has affected people that its not supposed to affect and left those it is supposed to affect.

Most times the funds that are allocated to the establishment of schools are diverted and looted... Schools that are supposed to be looking like a world class educational standards, are nothing to write home about . Your go to primary and secondary schools and you find student seating on the floors, studying , without proper materials. The buildings are all weak and might fall anytime soon. Student don't have good uniforms and good writing materials. These have funds that are suppose to come and fix them, but the corrupt leaders have done their part in the corruption game. And the worst part is their children never attend these schools .

Corruption can be fought, but it starts with you and me. It's starts with doing the right thing for the right cause. It might not be big, when a single individual does it, but when everyone has a role to play, corruption could be ended. But the love of money is too real that people really don't care anymore. After all a hungry man is always an angry man and will do anything to survive. Thanks.
