Hi community
I have a question regarding the rate at which STEEM is generated from powered up STEEM Power as i really can seem to figure out what determines the rate. I have read their white paper (not in details) and it seems as if the holders of STEEM power who have powered up are awarded with 90% of the new STEEM tokens generated in order to not dilute the value in ones account. However this is far from true in my case.
I wrote down my balance often during the last week and the rate at which STEEM is generated from powered up STEEM Power is almost constantly around 1.95%/year corresponding to 0.005%/day which is nothing and very far from the 90% stated in the white paper.
If this is the rate i can expect while the amount of STEEM is doubled every year the idea of powering up and thus tieing my STEEM to STEEM Power is more or less completely pointless from an economical point of wiew.
Im i missing something here? Does anyone know what determines the rate?
Cheers
