Infrastructure Inversion: Piss Everyone Off, Otherwise It's Just Too Good To Be True

I've been reading and watching talks by Andreas M. Antonopoulos in my pursuit of learning investment in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Now, it isn't all technical talk. It's even really about trading. It's about the principles behind it.

One cool concept he talked about is infrastructure inversion, in which "new technologies are initially built on old infrastructures until an 'infrastructure inversion' happens and they replace the old infrastructure."

Sounds straight-forward enough, but what comes with that is usually a bunch of doubt, fear and even resentment.

Apparently, cars were ridiculed for its purpose of replacing the horse.

Electricity was met with ridicule.

The internet was also thought to be nothing but a fad.

It kind of hit me how for something revolutionary to occur, then it must be something that's going to piss people off first.

Because when it doesn't, it'd be an idea that'd only come across as too good to be true.

And when something sounds like that, it usually is.

If you look back at 2017 and all the ICOs that were introduced, the ideas were along the lines of [Something that we are already doing] + [Now let's make it such that people can get paid for it] = [This is going to fucking blow everyone's minds because who doesn't love easy money from little work right?]

It reeks of [too good to be true.]

It's hype. Nothing but pure hype.

It could lead to a cool, new product or trend, but it will never be revolutionary.

Perhaps then, if we want to invest in something for a better future (for you and everyone), we need to look at [Something that seems impossible] + [Piss us off.]

And it can be = [Real, permanent change.]

So if you think deeper, this is why we struggle in life.

That's how we grow.
