Did you know that this photo is taken from an iPhone 7 Plus? It has the same feature from the iPhone X. The same feature also from the Xs Max, I think they will be improving the features for the next iPhone 11 anytime soon thus if 8K quality video/photo will be standardized, Apple will give its call to bring the 8K/24megapixel camera. I guess there wouldnt be iPhone 13? (its a guess).
