Oscar winner director Robert De Niro and his wife Grace Hightower's unanticipated split have shocked all of us. The 75-year-old Wizard of Lies actor and his 63-year-old wife Grace are no longer living together after being married for more than two decades said an insider.
“Sometimes things don’t work out the way you hope or want them to,” the insider says.
The couple is expected to 'announce their breakup publicly in the coming weeks,' says the publication.
Robert and Grace were married in 1997 and remained married for almost 21 years. This is not the first time that the couple announced their split. In 1999, Robert was also getting divorced and was engaged in custody war over their now 20-year-old son Elliot. However, The couple sorted things out and remained happily married till now.

In fact, Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower renewed their wedding vows in 20o4 in presence of A-lister celebrities Meryl Streep, Martin Scorsese and others.
The couple who remained married for more than 20 years were last spotted together at the red carpet of 72nd Annual Tony Awards in New York.
Robert was earlier married to actress Diahnne Abbott from 1976–1988 and have two children together - Drena De Niro and Raphael De Niro.
Robert De Niro and Grace share two children, 20-year-old Elliot and six-year-old Helen.
