It was a rough day last night. I have plans to eat with my big brother after work at about 8pm, unfortunately me and my colleague got caught up with our boss for some small discussion that dragged us all the way until 8pm.
Both of us got scolded because of not working for an event on the upcoming Saturday. Usually we will have a notice a week before indicating whether Saturday is required to work or not, so it is quite unfair for this time. We received no news so we already had plans that can't be canceled on Saturday. None of us have the courage to complain back to boss about this matter so we just kept quiet and listened all his blabbers.
It was late already so we figured out to have dinner somewhere nearby which is this underrated restaurant. I have no choice but to cancel out the plan with my brother as well.
From the picture obviously you can tell it's a Malay restaurant. Almost all of the malay restaurants that I know of have this type of "warung" design. I felt a little bit awkward because this restaurant, I think me and my colleague are the only Chinese here. But I think we should try some different food from different culture, especially we're in Malaysia right?
One thing I really love about Malay restaurants is that their foods are unbelievably cheap. Just like the picture from above only costs RM6. I think the market price for this is about RM10, normally with rice. I personally don't really eat rice because of diet so the image above is already enough for me and my colleague.
The soup tastes really nice, although it doesn't really taste like the original Thai tomyam but this one has a little mixture between sour and spice, maybe a little taste of Maggi sup, or perhaps it's just my thought.
There are no specific details for this restaurant from google, so I couldn't provide the working hours.
