Tech company HTC has announced a partnership with blockchain gaming company Decentraland. The blockchain-based platform with the same name will be one of the headline features in the next major update for the HTC Exodus 1. Consumers can save their Decentraland-based digital assets securely on the phone.
Decentraland uses the token MANA for its transactions. The blockchain gaming company is building virtual worlds based on blockchain technology. Ultimately these worlds can be accessed independent of the platform being used by the consumer.
On the HTC Exodus 1 there's the so-called Zion wallet. The app allows phone owners to store their digital coins and assets in a safe way, without the risk of being hacked. Also personal information can be stored in the same wallet, allowing a wide range of confidential information to be stored within the wallet.
Currently Zion is already pre-installed on the phone. It allows users to safely send, store and request bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and a select number of ERC20 and ERC721 tokens and assets.
The value of Decentraland got a boost after the announcement of the partnership with HTC. The MANA token went up almost 60 percent in value. from $0.037 to $0.055. Currently MANA is valued $0.047.
MANA wasn't the only token seeing a boost from news coming from the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Enjin Coin (ENJ) doubled its value after screenshots of Enjin wallet integration with Samsung's new flagship Galaxy S10 leaked on the web, while Basic Attention Token (BAT) added 50% based on the same news.
