Alas the abandoned dog or what we believe to be an abandoned dog is rather a frequent sight in other parts of the world. There were lots of dogs roaming the streets of Havana. I had my host explain to me that El Perro es Libre. They come and go as they please. They find food and they find affection. Fighting if that is what they are inot. This little dog did quite well on her own and if she does have a home she will sniff her way back to it. Or another kind soul will see to her immediate needs. In the wild it would be harder for her still. Life is not easy for wild animals wrt to the predator/prey cycle. In our relatively safe human existence, we don't understand this and think it is all fields of daisies and flowing streams. But in between all the idealism, it is often a run for life, either to avoid being food or to get some. None of that for the pampered northern pet but then they are not libre. They are not free. Comfort or freedom is often the trade off. Seems to me from this post that you side with freedom. At leasr for the time being:)
