I've moved to Hive, along with most other people, following Justin Sun's takeover of Steem in the Spring of 2020. I believe hive is a lot more decentralised than Steem!

It seems like you have some solid goals for the next year. I love your schedule, how does it work for you? I used to have one as well, I'm thinking of creating one again since now it would be easier to stick to it because I have more stability.

I was just preparing to work on my "2019 resolution post," but then I stumbled upon yours.

I find a schedule works really well for me! It is flexible... I might mix up the days or just take one off but I always try and have a primary focus for each day and each week.

I recommend them... really helps keep me on track but note I do have plenty of breaks in there!

Looks like a great plan!

I just rebooted my running and am finally committing to keeping in the aerobic zone for all my longer training runs (heart rate = 180 - age).

That's a good goal!

8 always end up pushing my heart rate too high! 160 odd for a run! I should calm it down.

That's exactly where I end up on a run...160s.

The trouble is it feels more satisfying to grind at a higher HR -- a little sweat, you don' feel like your dying, and then you have a little bit of a runner's high afterward -- nice and relaxed. We essential train our brains to associate that with a good workout. I knew about this years ago, but it wasn't until I read parts of Primal Endurance by Mark Sisson that I fully understood why it mattered and was willing to commit to it.

For me, if I don't believe strongly in the why, I don't bother.

Happy trails!

I'll have to give that a read. Im totally endorphine dependent when it comes to running.

Cycling however, I'm much more conent to cycle at 140-150 BPM.

Cheers! I'll look it up! Maybe more cycling in 2019?!?

Keep the flat tidy – try and clean the bathroom more frequently than once every two months (coughs).
Ah, yeah, I've got that one as well...

I'm determined to get it done tomo.

Thankfully it's airy!

Loving the goals being set out! Need to do ours! Especially the one in purple... Fitness will be a key goal in 2019.would like to do a marathon before I (Sam) turn 30 in Jan 2021. Yet, it starts off with 5k runs progressing to half marathons. That's the aim!

Marathon's a great goal. Building up from 5K is pretty hardcore but people do it!

I've never done one, despite many years of running and a few halfs.

Prefer 10Ks!

Yea it's pretty hardcore from 5k, but would like to do one at least in my life. Yet, this goal has a two year deadline, so need to be a regular of 10ks by the end of 2019. I also prefer 10ks as they can easily be done in an hour or less.

Whatever yr distance running is awesome! Its been a real constant in my life for the last decade!

Just get out and run, or walk if you have to!

Get a decent night’s sleep every night

I actually read "every week" instead of every night and thought "Wow that's not a lot of sleep" :-)

It's actually both the easiest and the most important I think.

Read 'Why We Sleep' by Mathew Walker... he'll convince you!

2019 is a year I hope to focus on my health.

I'm becoming a bit "pear shaped" as well, but I think you meant it in a different way.

Oh nice pun!

My fitness goals have actually gone really well so far this winter. Should be a breeze for me in 2019. I actually enjoy it - that's the trick!

:D Great goals, and yes, set the bar low (but a little challenging as well!) so it feels like you can 'make it'. Good luck, I might create something similar, although (or because?!) I'm really bad at sticking to a schedule of any sort.

Oh I never said I was actually going to stick to it!

Waking up at 5am is not setting the bar low! Seems ultra disciplined and it's very good to read your ideas on this subject.
