Only in california you have people as stupid as this one. A woman was pulled over due to many phonecalls from worried people who saw a sign in the back seat area of her car. Ends out it was a prank the drivers daughter was doing and the parent didn't even know about it!?
Around 5:02 p.m., officers received reports of a girl in the back seat of a moving vehicle holding up a piece of paper that read, “Help me.” The car was initially reported to be on Highway 99 in South Sacramento.
Officials eventually located the car on Highway 99 near 8 Mile Road in Stockton and made a “high-risk” stop.
Officers said the girl’s mother pulled the car over and they were able to speak with her. That’s when officers say they found out the girl had made it all up, and that she thought it was a fun thing to do.
The woman didn’t know what her daughter had been doing and officers let them leave.

It wasn't mentioned how old the kid was but any kid at any age shouldn't be doing things like this. According to the article 6 cops were involved in tracking the car down to see what is going on. Those 6 cops could of stayed on their patrol routes to answer to better things than this. Only in california you have kids like this. Who knows what other things kids do these day.
Kids are growing up these day hooked to a social network that shows pranks and they think that if a famous person can do it then they can too! Monkey see monkey do is the proper term. I am not aware of any youtuber, instagramer or ticktocker that does pranks like this to even make the kid wanna do this. I grew out of watching stupid things on the internet to even know about things but i am aware of certain famous people who do things like this for entertainment and they make millions.
Maybe the kid was pissed at their parent and wanted revenge? Who knows? Either way don't do any pranks unless you know what you are doing to not make it worse. I don't wanna hear some person couldn't get help fast enough cause cops were spending time messing with pranksters.
