Die Ruhe im Kinderzimmer nimmt ein jähes Ende, als Bonnie den widerspenstigen Forky in die Spielzeugsammlung aufnimmt. Forky hat eine Identitätskrise und erlebt mit Woody den Roadtrip seines Lebens. Forky will beweisen, dass er kein Spielzeug ist und die Protagonisten lernen dabei, dass die Welt für ein Spielzeug viel größer ist als jemals gedacht.
