Introduction
 

Hello dear steemians,

I want to write about a spesific issue which is related with my job. This post will be about energy standarts. I hope that will be useful for readers especially for tecnhical stuff.


 

ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1

Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings (2013 most recent)


Standard 90.1 addresses building components and systems that affect energy usage
The technical sections of the standards specifically address components of the building envelope, HVAC systems and equipment, service water heating, power, lighting and other equipment.

The International Code Council (ICC) publishes and maintains the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), which is a model energy code that makes allowances for different climate zones.

US Code of Federal Regulations

10 CFR 433-435

The requirement for the Federal sector to meet or exceed ASHRAE 90.1 and 90.2/ICC IECC as mandatory standards for all new Federal buildings is specified in 10 CFR parts 433-435.
